Pepper Bridge Winery Launches New Tasting Experiences

Walla Walla Winery Offers Private Tour and Food Pairing Class

July 13, 2015 (Walla Walla, WA) – Pepper Bridge Winery, a pioneer in the Walla Walla Valley, is offering two new tasting experiences. A new Food and Wine Pairing Class and a new Private Tour and Tasting give wine lovers a fun and interactive way to enjoy wines.

Partnering with Chef Jake Crenshaw of Olive Catering in Walla Walla, Pepper Bridge Winery offers the Food and Wine Pairing Class each Friday and Saturday. The first of its kind in Walla Walla, the class teaches guests how to think about their food pairings in a whole new light.

“I make wines that are best enjoyed with foods,” said Partner and Winemaker Jean-François Pellet. “Working with Chef Crenshaw, we focus on the aromas, flavors and tasting profiles of our estate wines and how they work with food.”

Inspired by Jennifer Clapp, Director of Consumer Sales and Certified Sommelier, the Food and Wine Pairing Class begins in the tasting room. Guests tour the winery on their way to the library room where they are seated for selections of three small bites, which are paired with Pepper Bridge Merlot, Trine and Cabernet Sauvignon. The menu changes seasonally and features fresh ingredients to give guests first hand knowledge on how wine and food work together.

Also new, the Private Tour and Tasting offers guests a chance to see the inner workings of the winery and taste in the cellar. The one-hour event begins with a walk through the gravity-flow facility followed by a private seated tasting in the underground library room. This intimate format is the ideal setting for in-depth tastings and conversation as guests have one-on-one attention with the Pepper Bridge brand ambassadors.

In a community that loves its wines and local foods, Pepper Bridge Winery has captured the perfect way to enjoy them together. The food and wine pairings and private tours offer distinctive and entertaining experiences beyond the traditional tasting room setting.
