Castoro Cellars Announces Line-up for Beaverstock 2015

A Two-Day Celebration of Music, Arts and Community

May 21, 2015 (Templeton, CA) – Beaverstock, the annual fall music festival hosted by Castoro Cellars brings together two days of music, art, community celebration and family fun September 19- 20, 2015. The weekend festival, now in its third year, will be headlined by popular acts Dawes and WAR and features over 15 bands on two stages. More than just the music, Beaverstock serves up local art, yoga and kids crafts. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Templeton Education Foundation. Beaverstock is nestled in the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country along California’s Central Coast and held in the meadow of Whale Rock Vineyard at Castoro Cellars. Guests this year will enjoy the Artist Grove, an expanded collection of local artists including workshops, an art inspired lounge and yoga sessions. Beaverstock prides itself on being much more than a music festival. Guests can enjoy listening to a great line-up of musical talent, sip Castoro wines, and taste local foods and craft beers and ciders in a family-friendly environment.

Speaking of the entertainment, Saturday’s headliner is American roots rock band Dawes, known for their vintage 70s rock-and-roll sound. They have toured with legends Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne and John Fogerty, had multiple appearances on Late Show with David Letterman and appeared at nationally recognized festivals Bonaroo, Coachella, Outside Lands and Lollapalooza. In the midst of releasing their new album June 2, Dawes is touring with popular acts Mumford and Sons and Hozier. On Sunday, jazz/rock legends WAR will closeout the festival. WAR has been rocking stages since 1969 and is a true legend with huge hits like “Low Rider, “Why Can’t We Be Friends” and “Cisco Kid”.

Many well-known performers make up the weekend’s lineup on the Beaverstock Main Stage, Saturday’s schedule also features the California Honeydrops, Street Corner Soul from Oakland; SambaDa, Brazilian samba from Santa Cruz; The Bills, folk bluegrass from Canada and The Tipsy Gypsies, gypsy jazz from SLO County. Sunday’s lineup features La Santa Cecilia, latino rock from Los Angeles, Birds of Chicago, rock ‘n’ roll poetry from Chicago; The Brothers Comatose, bluegrass folk from San Francisco and The Mother Corn Shuckers, SLO County bluegrass folk locals. The Stompin Grounds stage will feature local favorite bands: The Turkey Buzzards, One Time Spaceman, Bear Market Riot, Chris Beland and Guy Budd with Inga Swearingen.

Castoro Cellars wines will be available in signature take-home Beaverstock canteens or GoVino glasses as well as some local craft beverage favorites - Firestone Walker, Toro Creek, Tent City, Barrelhouse and Bristols Cider. Several gourmet food trucks and food vendors will be on site for guests to purchase food.

Niels and Bimmer Udsen founded Castoro Cellars in 1983, and today run it with their sons Max and Luke. Located on Highway 46 West and Bethel Road in the Templeton Gap AVA of Paso Robles, Castoro Cellars specializes in sustainably farmed Rhône and Italian varietals. Lifetime supporters of live music and the arts, the Udsen family has a strong passion for giving back to the community. All the proceeds from the festival go to a cause near and dear to their hearts, the Templeton Education Foundation (TEF). TEF is a nonprofit organization that directly benefits the students in the Templeton Unified School District where both Max and Luke attended from first grade through high school graduation.
