Grey Wolf Announces New Chef and Menu At The Winery

The winery appoints new chef, Jeff Thomas, to take the reigs of the winery’s Barton’s Kitchen. The new expanded menu will be available May 12.

May 8, 2018 (Paso Robles, Calif.) –  Grey Wolf Cellars / Barton Family Wines is proud to announce two exciting gourmet ventures coming to Paso Robles Wine Country.
 
First, Barton’s Kitchen inaugural chef, Chef Jeffry, is opening his own restaurant, Jeffry’s Wine Country BBQ, located in downtown Paso Robles (819 12th Street Suite 100). We are so proud and excited and can’t wait to help support this new adventure.
 
Second, we would like to offer a warm welcome to Barton’s Kitchen new chef, Jeff Thomas. Jeff will be unveiling a new expanded menu with farm-to-table flair beginning on May 12.
 
Jeff most recently hails from Los Angeles, where he spent seven years working under several marquee chefs, including Gordon Ramsay, Steven Fretz and Curtis Stone. After leaving LA, he was passionate about furthering his wine education to enhance his culinary resume and has spent the past two years with us, working in both our winery and our distillery, Krobar.
 
Now at Grey Wolf and Barton Family Wines, Jeff plans to bring his own touch to the local food scene. The food will be based on freshness and seasonality while also showing a little of his New Orleans heritage. With the local farmers and producers behind us, we will be able to create dishes that are rooted in tradition, while continuing to raise our standard for customer service and quality. 
 
All ingredients are treated with the utmost respect and prepared accordingly.  From our vegetables to our meats, we’ll use local, California ingredients. The menu will be paired perfectly with our Grey, Grey Wolf and Barton Reserve wines.
 
The larger menu will include The Muffuletta Sandwich, served on custom-made bread from Edna’s Bakery. A single serving or the whole sandwich can be ordered to feed a large group.
 
Other local purveyors we’re partnering with include: Alle Pia Salumi, Etto Pastificio, Windrose Farms, Reves de Moutons, Fromagerie Sophie and Berryman. We will also be offering a Kid’s Menu.
The hours for the new-and-improved Barton Family Kitchen will remain the same, for now:  Thursday-Monday 11:30am-4:30pm.
