Paso Robles Rolls Out Red Carpet For Destination Wedding Premiere
Filmed on location in Paso Robles, locals can see exclusive screenings of the romantic comedy starring Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder
August 30, 2018 (Paso Robles, Calif.) – With the upcoming release of the feature film Destination Wedding, Hollywood is set to show the world what locals here have long known: Paso Robles Wine Country is the ultimate place for fun and romance.
Filmed mostly in and around Paso Robles and its Dubost Vineyard & Winery in 2017, the film stars Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder whose forlorn characters fall in love while attending their mutual friends’ wedding in Paso.
Locals will be able to attend an exclusive screening of the movie at Park Cinemas in downtown Paso Robles on Thursday, September 6, at 7:15pm. Tickets for the screening are going fast. To get yours, please visit TravelPaso.com. The movie will be released nationwide Sept. 7.
In addition to the screenings, Dubost is hosting a now-sold out premiere party at Studios on the Park gallery, also in downtown Paso Robles.
“It’s a thrill the premiere is taking place right here in our lovely downtown,” says Danna Stroud, executive director of Travel Paso. “But more so, it’s exciting to have an international spotlight on a few of the hallmark reasons why Paso Robles is such an attractive destination: we have awe-inspiring landscapes, world-class vineyards and wine and, of course, top-tier wedding venues.”
Amber Karson, owner of Karson Butler Events, an international event and wedding planning company with offices in San Luis Obispo and Washington D.C., notes Paso Robles is home to some of the country’s marquee wedding locations, including Allegretto Vineyard Resort, Cass Vineyard & Winery, Eberle Winery, Halter Ranch, HammerSky Vineyards, Home Sweet Home Cottage, JUSTIN Winery, Lekai Ranch, Paso Robles Inn, Rava Wines and Events, Still Waters Vineyards and SummerWood Winery & Inn, just to name a few.
“The beauty of the vineyards, the amazing weather and, frankly, the friendliness of the people is what makes Paso Robles such a highly sought-after wedding destination,” says Karson, who also owns the Ah Louise boutique in San Luis Obispo. “Paso is already one of the world’s ultimate destination wedding sites, and this film is only going to add to the buzz.”
