Hadley Sowerby Mendonca, Account Director

A proud Paso Robles native, Hadley Sowerby Mendonca brings a deep-rooted passion for the Central Coast wine industry to her role as Account Director at Solterra Strategies. With her hometown roots and a career that spans wine, technology, and brand strategy, Hadley leads client accounts with a rare combination of industry fluency and business acumen.

Hadley earned her degree in Wine and Viticulture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a concentration in Wine Business — a foundation that gave her fluency in both the craft and commerce of wine. She launched her career at Solterra in 2015 as an Assistant Account Coordinator before stepping out to build a broader professional toolkit.

Her path took her to San Francisco, where she held on- and off-premise sales roles in the wine industry, including work with E. & J. Gallo Winery — experience that deepened her understanding of large-scale brand strategy and distributor relationships. She later pivoted into the technology sector, advancing through business development and enterprise sales roles at Scope AR and TeamViewer, where she honed skills in client strategy, lead generation, and high-stakes account management.

In 2022, Hadley returned to Paso Robles and to Solterra — drawn back by her enduring love for the region and its people. In her current role as Account Director, she oversees strategic planning and day-to-day execution for a portfolio of winery and hospitality clients, serving as a trusted partner and primary point of contact. Her cross-industry background gives her a sharp commercial lens that makes her an especially effective advocate for the brands she champions.
